If you are a registered user of our hosted fax service, you can send a fax from your computer using an internet browser or via email.  

To send a fax via email:

  1. You must be sending the fax from the email address that is attached to your fax account. 
  2. Send the fax to faxnumber@myhosted.fax com.  Example: 6028675309@myhostedfax.com.
  3. The subject line of your fax will show up as the subject on the fax cover page. The body of your email will show up as the comments on the fax cover page. If you attach a PDF or doc file to your email, these will be sent as subsequent pages. 

To send a fax from the fax service web portal:

  1. Open up a browser such as Internet Explorer or Google Chrome and go to https://myhostedfax.com.
  2. Enter your email address and password.
  3. To send a fax, click on the +NEW FAX button at the top left.
  4. Enter in all of the recipient’s information. You can choose to save it for future use if you wish.
  5. Attach one or more PDF documents.
  6. You can also modify your sender information by clicking on the sender info button at the top right. See below for more info.
  7. You can also modify your transmission options by clicking on the settings button at the top right. 
  8. Click SUBMIT.

Your fax will be sent from our server. You should receive an email message regarding the success or failure of your fax transmission attempt.

To specify the default sender info on your Phoneware MyHostedFax account:

  1. Log into your account at myhostedfax.com.
  2. Click on the +NEW FAX button at the top left.
  3. Click on the sender and company info icon at the upper right. This icon looks like a small person and is directly to the left of the settings icon. 
  4. The Sender & company information window will open. At the top left, check the option to “Use custom sender and company information”. This will allow you to customize these values.
  5. Fill in your first and last name in the Personal information section at the top of this page. The salutation, mobile, pager, and job title fields are not used on the cover page and thus are not needed.
  6. Fill in your Company name and Phone number in the Company information section at the bottom of this page. The Address, City, State/Province, Country, and ZIP code fields are not used on the cover page and thus are not needed.
  7. Click SAVE and then CLOSE.

Now, when you send faxes, the sender information will be populated with your information on the cover sheet.
