Yealink T54W wifi configuration

  1. While the phone is powered on and idle, press MENU button (bottom right of screen).
  2. Use navigation arrow buttons to select BASIC and press the ENTER menu option or the OK button in the center of the navigation arrows.
  3. Use the down arrow to find WIFI and press the ENTER menu option or the OK button in the center of the navigation arrows.
  4. If wifi is current OFF, turn it on by pressing the right arrow button or the SWITCH menu option, and then press SAVE.
  5. Arrow down to AVAILABLE NETWORKS and press the ENTER menu option or the OK button in the center of the navigation arrows.
  6. Find your wifi network and press the CONNECT menu option or the OK button in the center of the navigation arrows.
  7. Enter the password for your wifi network. Use the 2nd menu key at the bottom of the screen to toggle data entry modes between 123, abc, ABC, and 2aB. Then, use the old-fashioned text messaging method to select the proper characters. For special characters, use the “*” button in the abc or ABC mode. For example, if your password is “Password123!”, you would do the following:
    1. Press the data entry type menu button until you see “ABC” to select upper case characters.
    2. Press 7 (for “P”).
    3. Press the data entry button until you see “abc” to select lower case characters.
    4. Press 2 (for “a”).
    5. Press 7777 (for “s”).
    6. Pause for a moment to let the letter “s” register so that you can enter another “s”.
    7. Press 7777 (for “s”).
    8. Press 9 (for “w”).
    9. Press 666 (for “o”).
    10. Press 777 (for “r”).
    11. Press 3 (for “d”).
    12. Press the 2nd menu button until you see “123” as the data entry method to select numeric characters.
    13. Press 123. This should complete the numeric entry portion of the password.
    14. Press the 2nd menu button until you see “abc” as the data entry method to select alpha characters.
    15. Press the star key six times to select the “!” character. You have now entered the complete password value “Password123!”.
  8.  When password entry is complete, press the OK menu option or the OK button in the center of the navigation arrows, you should then see a green checkmark next to your network name.
  9. Press the BACK menu option several times to return to the main menu, then press the EXIT menu option to return your phone to its idle screen.
  10. Your phone should now be successfully connected to wifi, registered to your account, and able to make and receive calls. Please note that it may take a minute or longer for your phone to register.

Yealink T53W wifi configuration

Yealink T53 wifi configuration using a WF40 or WF50 wifi dongle (USB adapter)

  1. While the phone is powered on and idle, insert the wifi dongle into the USB connector on the back of the phone.
  2. You should see a message on your screen that says “Wi-Fi adapter is added, scanning wireless networks?”. Press the OK menu option or the OK button in the center of the navigation arrows.
  3. Arrow down to AVAILABLE NETWORKS and press the ENTER menu option or the OK button in the center of the navigation arrows.
  4. Find your wifi network and press the CONNECT menu option or the OK button in the center of the navigation arrows.
  5. Enter the password for your wifi network. Use the 2nd menu key at the bottom of the screen to toggle data entry modes between 123, abc, ABC, and 2aB.
